The 3rd Awareness Raising Seminar, organised within the Technical Assistance for Support for the Digital Transformation of Manufacturing Industry (DIGITALTR) Project, was held on 31 July 2026 at the OzUBEX Industry 4.0 Competence Center in Istanbul. Bringing participants from Türkiye’s manufacturing, technology and digital transformation ecosystem, the event provided an important platform for presenting the support opportunities available to enterprises under the DIGITALTR Project and fostering cross-sector collaboration.
Following the opening remarks by Sadullah Uzun, Director General, Directorate General for National Technology and Artificial Intelligence, Ministry of Industry and Technology, the programme focused on capacity building for enterprises in technology services. Participants received detailed information on project services, enterprise eligibility criteria, benefits for participating companies, application requirements, implementation timelines, key deadlines and applicant guidance. A dedicated Q&A session also enabled potential beneficiaries to discuss practical questions regarding the application and service-delivery process directly with the project team.
Erinç Albey, Director of OzUBEX, introduced the Centre’s technological infrastructure, capabilities and services. This was followed by the panel discussion “Why Digital Transformation Now? Best Practices, Success Stories and Lessons Learned from OzUBEX,” which translated digital transformation into concrete company experiences. Oğulcan Akıncıoğlu of ENDEL A.Ş., Fatma Yıldızeli of SEGER A.Ş. and Vedat Kürkçü of Konveyör shared practical perspectives and lessons learned from their companies’ digital transformation journeys. The panel was moderated by Erinç Albey.
The seminar attracted participants from a wide range of sectors, including automotive and automotive suppliers, machinery, metal processing, plastics, chemicals, electronics, energy, construction materials, textiles, food and technology. Manufacturing companies were joined by representatives of public institutions, universities, technology providers, software and automation companies, business organisations and digital transformation Centres. Representatives of OzUBEX, METU-DTX, İHKİB DDM and AnkaTheraHub were also present, allowing potential beneficiaries to engage directly with key actors involved in the delivery of digital transformation services.
The programme concluded with a guided tour of OzUBEX, giving participants the opportunity to observe the Centre’s technological infrastructure and better understand the practical application of digital transformation technologies in an industrial environment. The subsequent networking and B2B matchmaking activities brought manufacturing companies, technology providers, Centres and project representatives into direct contact, supporting the development of new collaboration and partnership opportunities.
