About the Project

Technical Assistance for Support for the Digital Transformation of Manufacturing Industry Project

The DIGITALTR Project aims to enhance the competitiveness of Turkish industry by supporting digital transformation through a stronger policy ecosystem and improved infrastructure. Funded by the European Union, the project addresses gaps in digital transformation levels between Türkiye and EU Member States.

Through a comprehensive approach encompassing policy development, capacity building and pilot implementation, we are building a sustainable digital transformation ecosystem that benefits enterprises across all manufacturing sectors.

The DIGITALTR Project strengthens Türkiye’s competitiveness and innovation capacity in the digital age.

Success Stories

Inspiring Results from Our Digital Transformation Centers

İHKİB DDM

Yarn Breakage Detection Using AI & Image Processing

Through training and consultancy provided to Penti by the İHKİB Digital Transformation Center under the AI and Image Processing Learn & Transform Programme, image processing technology enabled real-time OEE monitoring and digital tracking of losses caused by yarn breakages. Performance losses arising from minor stoppages and scrap were reduced by 40%.

“We were able to transfer checkpoint monitoring on our Single Cover machines, which took operators three minutes per machine per shift, from operators to cameras.”

Company Testimonial — Penti

OzUBEX

Digital Production Monitoring with IoT & Energy Efficiency

Under the IoT and Energy Efficiency Learn & Transform Programmes delivered by OzUBEX to Endel Endüstri Elektrik Sanayi ve Ticaret A.Ş., IoT-based solutions enabled real-time detection and reporting of minor stoppages, while digital tools such as Node-RED and Grafana strengthened the company’s digital transformation capabilities.

“Minor stoppages in areas where IoT was implemented can now be detected and reported at a rate approaching 100%.”

METU-DTX

Digital Transformation in Training and Occupational Safety through Virtual Reality

Thanks to a virtual reality-based training solution developed in cooperation with METU-DTX, Cavo began providing safe and standardised employee training without interrupting production. VR technology allows machine operations to be experienced in a risk-free environment, accelerating training, increasing operational efficiency and reducing errors.

“Thanks to the VR training solution we developed with METU-DTX, we can now learn freely through virtual reality without stopping machines, without limitations and without risk.”
